Survivor: Gidget's House - Episode: Departure of "The New Puppy"

Well, the new puppy only lasted one night. Aside from a massive mess to clean up (how does one tiny body hold so much waste?), I think she was just a little too young to leave her mamma quite yet. However, that wasn't the reason I took her back. On the Monday immediately following, I received a phone call from my sister at work. (I'm always a little alarmed when I get phone calls from my family while at work.) She had taken in an 8-week shitsu puppy from my brother's girlfriend because my brother refused to allow another dog in the house. However, in taking in the puppy, she then had to find a new home for her Jack Russell Terrier, Jill the Wonder Dog. So....we advertised Jill in a local paper and I created a cute website for people to view pictures...and finally we got a call from an interested person. As soon as my sister got off the phone with this man, she started crying because Jill was her baby. She just couldn't give her away. THE POINT OF THE STORY: My sister, sniffling, asked if I would bring back the puppy and take her shitsu puppy instead. Of course I agreed. He's a cute little furball and I know that with the amount of dogs our family has, that I'm the only one with the space to take in a 2nd dog and my brother could always sell the JRT puppy I had taken.

It hasn't quite been a week, but we are doing okay. Ozzie is mostly housebroken, which is great, but I've discovered that he likes to chew on wood - specifically my antique loveseat and my bookshelves. He's already heard the strength of my "NO!"s...and he doesn't like them! ha! Sadie is a little too rough in playing with him, but he'll grow and eventually be the same size she is. In the meantime, it's awfully amusing to watch them play tug-of-war and see Sadie pulling him around the house as he slides across the wood floor. ;)
