CNN.com - Teen arrested in slaying of lawyer's wife - Oct 20, 2005
Um...so, this teenager was arrested for the slaying of Pamela Vitale, but they don't have a motive. They are suggesting that she came across the teenager trespassing on their property, which could be a plausible motive except for one thing. Pamela Vitale was beaten to death with a piece of crown moulding and had a cross carved into her back. Would a teenager caught trespassing go to the length of carving a cross into someone's back? It doesn't jive to me. There's something missing....
My first suspicion is that it's someone associated with Daniel Horowitz's past. Come on, he defends mobsters and other high-profile criminals. Surely there was someone who was unhappy with a verdict, be it a family member , an "associate", or someone from another "family", etc. We'll see what they come up with next.

The lawyer did pro-bono work for the kid that killed his wife or so I heard. There is probably lots of motive there.
Ahhh, I hadn't heard that. That makes more sense then.
Sounds like the killer ordered some hydroponic equipment used to grow marijuana and had it delivered to the Vitales address instead of his own. The equipment never got delivered because of suspected fraud but I'm guessing the killer went to pick it up and freaked out when it wasn't there. Check it out on CNN.
