The Animals Among Us
A colleague sent this to me, knowing my attachment to my pets. I thought there might be other "Iowans" out there whoe might also be interested in entering this contest. The subject matter isn't limited to pets, but can also include farm animals, wild animals, birds, etc.
If I could ever get my darlings to calm down a bit and pose for a cute picture, I would consider entering. As it is, I'd have to struggle to come up with something.

The picture I could handle. An essay covering all the points that they listed would be another story altogether.
