Iowa State Fair

Well, so I won't be making an appearance at the state fair after all. Last year I was so bummed because Hoobastank was playing on a Sunday night and it wasn't possible for me to get the following Monday off of work so that I could attend. I consoled myself with the thought that there'd be bands this year that I could probably see without the timing problems. Wrong! I just took a look at the bands playing this year and they're nearly all country musicians, which in itself is fine but I'm pretty selective on my country listening and I'm just not interested in any of them. The only thing close to alternative/metal is Smash Mouth. Smash Mouth! As if they've done anything good recently. Grrrrr. This sucks.
