Incommunicado....

Alright ladies, gentlemen, pooches, kitties and superhuman kangaroos....I'll be incommunicado this weekend as I bravely head out into the far southwestern corner of Iowa to play in a muddy creek. WHY? Now that the summer rains have stopped dumping mud over our giant sloth dig site, we've been able to get the excavation equipment in to clear the area, rebuild the dam to keep out the creek water, and scoop out the mud and debris from our bone location. Temps aren't looking real warm, but I have high hopes that our concealed and protected area will allow us to expose many more bones without suffering from frostbite, hypothermia or etc. One guarantee will not be preventable, unfortunately, and that is the mud. Yes MUD. Rain or shine, we will be very muddy. I've promised to take pictures of us if we do end up that messy and, actually, I'll be taking a lot of pictures regardless. BUT, what I will not do this time is flail my arms around helicopter style while trying to not fall into the creek. I narrowly avoided it last time and I really don't need a repeat of that heart-stopping experience. Neither do I want a frigid drenching in a creek where I'm sure there's more than just water floating along. This is farm country, you know... Are you saying "eewwwwww" yet?

So, Top 7+, eat, sleep, blog much and have a fabulous weekend!

Have fun and make a few mud pies while you are there.
