A better day...

Today was a better day, although I ran my tail off while escorting my candidate around. I think I walked about 5 miles around campus today, including the 1 mile walk from the motor pool office (I had rented a University car for escorting) to the ramp where I had parked my vehicle. I could have waited for the bus but it would have taken about the same amount of time. There were enough students walking in the same direction that I wasn't too worried about muggers or attackers, even in the poorly lit, abandoned areas of campus. Don't act like a victim and you'll be less likely to be attacked, at least that's what they always said in the self-defense class.

Anyhoo, I started off my day well-refreshed after having slept nearly 10 hours last night. In honor of a fabulous friend in Phoenix, I listened to Perfect Circle on my way to work, and Linkin Park on the way back. I was surprised by now many of the Perfect Circle songs I had heard before. However, I'm the first to admit that matching songs with the artist is not one of my strong points.

Now, as I sit here at my computer, yawning, I think I'll head to bed. Tomorrow will be another long day of running my tail off and I'll have a cranky dean to deal with who needs a last-minute project done. Ugh.
