High maintenance...

Yesterday there were several of us standing in the copy room at work. We were talking about a new haircut one coworker had gotten and I remarked that you could really see how thick her hair was with that particular cut. She and my supervisor then were discussing how you should wash thick hair every three days, not everyday. I looked at them for a minute and said with a sigh, "Figures....I have baby fine hair and have to wash it everyday. I guess I was born high maintenance."

hee hee!

Personally, I think it's kinda gross not to wash your hair everyday - but then... I'm a freak about cleanliness. Also, wouldn't it make more sense to wash thin hair less than thick hair? I mean, less dirt gets trapped in thin hair, doesn't it? Besides, you never know what you're gonna find in a thick head of hair. There could be birds nesting in there and nobody'd know about it. My suggestion: better safe than sorry, wash!

I just had to laugh at the "high-maintenance" crack. (Of course, they did too.) Being goofy as usual!

My sister has really thick hair. Depending on if she uses a hair dryer or leaves it to dry naturally, it sometimes takes longer than 24 hours for the dampness to go away. I think that's amazing! My hair is dry in 10 minutes. Woohoo!

So my question is, what is the rule of thumb for no or little and getting less every day hair?

By the way, my hair is dry by the time I walk from the shower to the bedroom. That's maybe thirty seconds tops.

I, too, have little hair. If I'm not busy combing it before I get outta the shower, then I'll have to wet it down again. Of course, the good news is that I don't have to worry about all those chemicals and machines that people use to give themselves so-called "good hair days". I have a good hair day everyday, as long as I wash it. I'm a freak about cleanliness, I know, but I had to mention it again. I think that hair is probably the worst part of the body to not clean - other than those unmentionables that I just mentioned by using the term "unmentionables".
