Lack of follow-through [soapbox]

I'm discovering that lack of follow-through is really lighting the fuse to my temper. I may have to be antisocial for the rest of the day so I don't go on the verbal offensive with friends, family and whoever else is unfortunate enough to cross my path....

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: If you say you're gonna do something, then do it. If you say you're gonna be somewhere at a specific time, then be there. If you need to change your plans, then fine...but let me know in advance so I can clear my calendar. I'd rather be disappointed than left wondering and angry.

I know in the past I've been guilty of low follow-through but that's something I've worked on for several years. I try very hard to keep my promises because I know how disappointed I feel as the recipient, but it's getting to the point where I'm tired of putting a lot of effort into things and not getting much in return. That said, topic is now closed to discussion.
