A soothing sight for the soul...

I took my little white demon puppy, Sadie, out for a potty break a few minutes ago and saw one of the most breathtaking night skies I've ever seen. If it's not a full moon, then it's very close to it. Even the harsh orange glow of the street lights couldn't take away from the beauty of a soft medium gray sky with wisps of light gray, translucent clouds drifting across the brightly lit face of the moon. So pretty. Breaks in the clouds would reveal a star peeking through here and there. The tall evergreens in my front yard were black silhouetted sentinels standing guard. If it wasn't still a little too chilly to linger, I would have been tempted to pull out a lawn chair to sit and watch the sky. There's just something about a scene like tonight that makes something deep inside you sigh with content and you have no choice but to smile.

It is times like that when you can get zen-like with nature that I wish there was some medium that could adequately capture the sights and feelings to replay on those days when the rest of life has you down.

That sounds beautiful! The only time I get to see skies like that is summertime, camping in the Sierra's. And Ed, I agree with you. Photos are good, but there something about the entire experience; the cool air, the quiet, the shadows, the grand scope of a full sky, that photos just don't convey.

I hope they develop a good VR soon!
