Yo Adrien....I did it!
Okay, so I finally feel like I really accomplished something...seriously. This week has been quite hectic, not because of deadlines or anything, but because I came back from my vacation with new goals, new motivation, and a new sense of what I need to accomplish before I can leave. At work, I've already been very open and non-secretive about my plans to leave the office in six to eight months. Now I feel this drive to make sure everything is as streamlined as I can make it because I KNOW that when I leave, they're going to change my position to a lower classification for a general receptionist and all of my higher level duties will be redistributed among the staff in the office. This means each project needs to be organized for the whomever becomes the next recipient. Instructions will have to be written for how to use my databases and where to find the appropriate information and etc. This isn't a situation where I get to train the next person.
At home, things aren't going as well. I'm generally exhausted by early afternoon from focusing so much on work. I'm finding I'm going for coffee three times a day just to stay awake until the end of the day. I've starting going to my new gym after work and then by the time I get home, I just want to collapse and not have to think about anything. I'm hoping it's just readjusting sleeping and activity patterns, but this weekend I really need to finish painting the study. Once that is done, I have to start preparations for the kitchen demolition. Ugh.
However, I truly do feel like I accomplished something tonight and it makes me feel really good to be able to admit to Ed Abbey that I am finally, completely caught up on all of your blogs!! Isn't that terrific?? I wanted to comment on a few from January, but I knew you probably wouldn't see them so I refrained. I feel like I've taken a step back onto the "good friend" roster with this guilt off of my shoulders. lol I won't get behind again.

I am duly impressed. I have written a lot on my blog and I wouldn't want anyone to have to sit through and read everything. But it is nice to know that someone has! :) Feel free to comment on anything. Responses are forwarded to my email although the title is not so sometimes I have to try and remember what blog entry is being referred to.
I hear you on the house thing. We get most of our work done on Saturdays because weekdays just don't contain enough time and I don't have enough energy. This weekend is finish the living room day and then we will be done with the living spaces on the main floor. If you ever need some muscle in your renovations, be sure to holler. Good luck on everything, we're pulling for you.
