Old Man Winter comes to visit again...

We've had such nice, lovely weather for the past few weeks. It was fabulous...until this morning. I took Sadie outside at about 5:30 am which revealed another crisp, chilly morning with no signs of precipitation in the air. When I came back inside, I was busy writing out bills and preparing for the work day so the next time I even looked outside was 6:45 am. I couldn't believe the size of the snow flakes and from the way it was coming down I knew it was a mix of rain and snow which would make the roads bad. Goodness...was I right! I swear people forget how to drive on slick roads. I tend to be one of the faster drivers on the road in wintery conditions, but even I was getting passed by speeding idiots. Couldn't they feel their vehicle's tires slipping on the road?? So, as I finally reached a safe enough stretch of road to make a phone call, I notified work that I'd be late and discovered that most of the office staff were having the same problem. Arlene is such a trooper! She was already there so at least we had one person covering phones.

What I found to be funny is that it took me 20 minutes to drive one mile of highway when it usually takes 2 minutes. Traffic was bumper to bumper sliding on unbladed streets. What a mess!

I took a picture of the snow while sitting at a stoplight so I'll post that on here shortly. I'm calling the "Freak Snow Day of March".
