Wedding bells and bubbles...

My cousin was married this weekend. I had forgotten about the gift until Friday night so fortunately there were still items available from her registration lists that I could purchase. I also did some shopping for my fabulous friend Becky's bridal shower which is taking place next weekend. I was added as a co-hostess for the shindig without prior approval, but that's okay. Although I've never hosted or co-hosted a bridal shower it can't be that hard....can it? I'm also collecting ideas for a bachelorette party so please feel free to submit ideas if you have some. Tasteful people....nothing raunchy.

The wedding was nicely done and even short for it being a Catholic ceremony! My father volunteered us to clean up after the reception since the building they used had to be ready for another event first thing the next morning. Considering the invitation list was 400+ people, it took a while to clean up. The bride's own brothers didn't even stick around. Tsk tsk. Of course, my siblings left too but they haven't yet developed the family duty conscience. My bro was looking pretty uncomfortable (didn't seem to be feeling very well) and my sis was also feeling puny. Too much partying the night before? Hmmm, I wonder. :) Anyhow, family & friends stuck around to pitch in and we got the place cleaned up in about 1.5 hours to arrive home at midnight. At this point, the dogs were let loose and it took several hours for them to settle down. I still had a very restless night with Sadie jumping up into window wells and barking at everything that moved - shadows, animals, the air, etc. The pup (see the Ozzie Fuzzbutt post) was having issues with a loose bladder so needless to say I was very tired Sunday morning. I had to be up and out the door by 9:30 am so that my sis and I could meet Becky for some shopping fun. We had hoped to be done at the first mall by 2:00 but it was actually closer to 4:00. Ugh! We still weren't done though. We had to make one more stop to do some shopping at my mother's request (a gift to buy) so I finally made it home at 6:00 pm. Then there was laundry, cleaning, etc etc. I did play runescape for a little bit but was too tired to stay up late. Now it's Monday and I have a week of work to do while working on finalizing class stuff and working on bridal shower stuff (this coming weekend). Sheesh!
