The Weekly Bulletin...

I am still here, I have not been buried under the pile of filing and misc bookstacks in my home. Nor have I fallen victim to any renovation accidents. lol

I am, however, in the midst of the final two weeks of summer classes and have been studying and just generally taking care of the minimum details of life. When an opportunity comes for a break, I'm usually online playing Runescape.

I do have a few chuckles and random thoughts that I'll share though....

* I'm sad the heat break has ended and I'll have to start watering my flowers again every morning at 5:30/6:00 am. It's too hot to do it at night and I find the morning hours are a better time for me anyway. The dogs go out to potty and I go out to water flowers with my just-got-out-of-bed hair and pj's. Fortunately not a lot of people are out and about at that time of morning. However, the flowers are thriving and I spent a few extra minutes this morning admiring my purple & white striped zebra hollyhocks as well as the thriving plants that were on the brink of death after spending the winter months in the house.

* Ozzie Fuzzbutt has been a challenge lately. His long fur has started knotting and matting, which makes for long grooming sessions to brush then cut, brush then cut. He doesn't enjoy it but it makes his coat look much nicer. I picked up a new grooming brush last night so hopefully we can have more effective (and shorter) grooming sessions in the future. He's due for another bath anyway and will definitely be receiving the glamour treatment including a detangling conditioner! The last recourse will be to get him shaved...which would probably make him feel cooler anyway. It's not easy being furry and gorgeous in this heat. Sadie's fortunate...she has the eternal "buzz cut" short hair coat!

* I finished up Accounting yesterday by turning in the remainder of the semester's assignments and taking the final early. Now I have about 10 days to keep my nose in my economics textbook. Never again will I take an economics class....*shudder* In studying for the final, I decided to head to the public library. As I walked by a fountain feature (actually are water jets in the ground), the children were having a grand time playing in the water. I heard some hysterical giggling and saw a 2-year old boy obviously enjoying life (and teh water)....buck naked. It made me laugh. I had hoped to find a quiet corner in which to study but ended up being cursed by distractions and noisy employees. (Don't they know it's a library and to be quiet??) Anyhow, there was a man asking how he could get the Library of Congress and Dewey Decimal numbers for a list of ISBN#'s. What a conversation that turned out to be! Velcro girl was driving me nuts with the constant ripping sound of opening her bag. The man at the table behind me was having an astha attack..I think. The four teenagers in front of me were spinning the dictionary holder (on a rotating base) around as fast as possible, receiving cell phone calls and daring each other to do things "for a dollar". I'd had enough and decided to find another place to study. lol So I drive to campus and sit at a table then hear two kids playing/arguing in a nearby area. Yeah.. I had to laugh when the little girl confronted her older brother and said, with attitude, "Talk to the hand!" It was an interesting day but I wish it had been a little more conducive for studying.

* I applied for a new job on Monday. We'll see what happens. It will be a promotion so we'll see if I get a call to interview.

* The U.O. received another disciplinary suspension...this time for 3-days. The next step is getting fired. She apparently didn't even tell her husband because he's been calling the office to talk to her. That marriage isn't apparently based on much honesty!

That's about all for now. Or, at least, about as much as I can think of....
