Dramamine for puppies?
I wonder if you can give Dramamine to puppies? Maybe they make a puppy dramamine...I don't know. I should check into it. I learned something this weekend: there is nothing like the sensation of a swiftly dampening leg to distract your attention from the road. Oh yes, you guessed it...Molly does not travel well. Poor little thing. She's lost her dinner on both legs of our weekend trip to my parents' house...
I'm glad I took the precaution of spreading out a blanket across the seats for the return trip. ;) Much easier to clean up...

Yes, you can give dramamine to dogs, but the dosage is really, really small. I'm not sure about puppies, they might want to wait till they grow up, so check with your vet about the dosage, because I mean it was a SMALL dose.
We used to keep it on hand for my parent's dog when I was little. She hated traveling. Work like a charm though.
My dog never traveled well but not because he was car sick but because he always seemed to gorge himself on rotten deer meat the night before. I think he always kept one in reserve somewhere just in case because he always seemed to find one.
These gorgings always brought some of the worst cabbage smelling, hair wilting farting that would instantly open up all the windows. In one case, we pulled up to a gas station, opened the door to let my dog stretch for a bit but instead he vomited up a steaming pile of deer hide right in front of the gas pump. I looked around for witnesses, got him back into the car, and drove a half mile down the road to another gas station. There was no way I could fill the car up while I was gagging too.
