Something a little different

I have now entered the world of ebay selling...yes, that's right...I've listed an item for sale on ebay. I'd considered setting up a selling account before, but I never took the time to do so. I have a seller's account on Amazon and have frequently sold my former textbooks on there (especially as they become difficult to find) but ebay? I was too timid. It's a huge marketplace.

The first thing that struck me about listing an item was the immense amount of detail that is involved in describing the item. I can't believe the amazing amount of information people list when a picture says a thousand words. I listed the minimum amount of words necessary for an accurate listing and continued on to the next section...and then the next...on it went through price, photos, shipping, refunds, payment instructions, yadda yadda yadda. It took me nearly an hour to list one item!

I hope it's worth it. Sheesh!

In my experience (sold and just shipped my first item) be overly descriptive or you will have tens if not hundreds of people sending you questions to your message center in ebay all asking the same thing about some detail you forgot to mention. But I'm not complaining. I have just shy of $80 more today than yesterday.
