It's a man-smell...
I spent yesterday with several friends and my sister. I may or may not have mentioned that I'll be a bridesmaid in April for a friend's wedding and we had to do some shopping for bridesmaid dresses. Fortunately we found them and they were only $30!! Miraculous! I think my shoes will probably be more expensive than the dress! After shopping we met up with Becky and my sister (they were shopping separately - Becky for maternity clothes and my sister for work clothing) for a delicious luncheon at The Olive Garden. Yumm!
Anyhow, after all was said and done, and we had parted for our separate ways, I stopped for a few additional items that I was needing - a specific book that was missing from the series I'm reading, a wine rack, and a powerball ticket. LOL The wine rack was from Pier I Imports and I ended up with a few additional items besides the wine rack - small ramekins for desserts and a candle. The candle smelled so delicious when I took the glass top off that it seemed it would fill the room with the odor of an exotic dessert. However, when I opened it up this morning, cut down the wick and lit it, the room filled up with a curious spicey scent that wasn't unpleasant, but certainly wasn't the effect I had hoped to have. It was while I was talking to my mother that it hit me...it was a man-smell...like a spicey men's cologne. LOL I wasn't a big fan of it so I don't think I'll be burning it that often. What a disappointment!

Not to fond of man smell hey? I'll leave the comment at that but you probably know where I'm heading with it.
It seems as if we shop and eat the same circle with Pier 1 and Olive Garden. I love there breadsticks and take advantage of the all you can eat on them. Sometimes I think the waitress will balk at bringing out the fifth or sixth basket but I have never been refused.
I prefer a sweeter fragrance for my space. When and if I ever share my space with a boyfriend/husband then I may have to compromise a bit. LOL
I'm sure they would love to get their paws on a scented candle and redistribute the wax all over the house - in chunks...;)
