A new page of the book...

A rose by any other name is still a rose....or so William Shakespeare said. :) Some of you may have noticed that I changed the name of my blog from "The Other Side" to "The World of Gidget". There are several reasons for this. However, the primary one is that I realized I was no longer blogging about inner exploration, which was the intended purpose of this forum. My blog had become bits and pieces of interesting news stories (to me, anyway) and random bits of controversial topics that I quickly became tired of reading about. It had come to the point where I was having difficulty coming up with items to blog about. Increasingly I was finding myself reading others' blogs instead. Over the past few months, I have found myself greatly enjoying my cousin's blog and I've decided to take a page from his book. Rather than scan the CNN news index every day for a potential blog topic, I'm going to blog more about my life and observations, lacking though they can be. lol I'll still blog a bit about world events if they catch my attention, but for now...I'm going to sit back, relax and just be for awhile.

Incidentally, you may have also noticed that I've added an email address to my sidebar, which I've created specifically for blogster to contact me should they rather do so in a non-public arena. Feel free to email..I'll check it a few times each week.
