The White Contortionists...
My little darlings recently had their (overdue) vet visits. I was happily surprised that my younger one only needed a rabies shot since my brother had taken care of all the rest before I got her. (He administers his own shots.) Woohoo! I thought for certain her bill alone would be over $100. But, all I needed was a rabies shot for both of them and some supplies before we were on our way! I came out of there with a bill MUCH lower than I was expecting. That's always nice. :)
Once we got home the next step would be to add all the various tags to their collars. I try not to remove their collars very often because they don't always hold still when I go to put them back on again. lol We managed and it was entertaining to watch Molly (the younger one) try to contortion herself into weird positions where she could get her teeth on her tags. She hasn't managed it yet but several times she's nearly fallen on her head and it always makes me chuckle. Sadie is a pro at this. Her first rabies tag was gnawed clean - you could barely make out the print but other than a few attempts at gnawing the new ones, she leaves them alone. Even Maia (the cat) got a tag! I used one of the tag machines at Wally World to make them name tags so if they ever pull Houdini escapes, someone will (hopefully) return them to me. She was doing the contortion thing this morning to get at her small tag. lol. She just couldn't figure out what was ruffling her fur!

My dogs use a vet visit as an opportunity to test their barking skills. They especially loved the giant bird cage in the corner with what I believe was a parrot... Fascination doesn't even begin to describe their focus on the movement within the cage. And, of course, the coming and going of other dogs in the office was an exciting adventure full of barking, barking and more barking. I wasn't surprised when I finally got them back into my truck and they collapsed on the passenger sleep to promptly fall asleep.
