Odds and ends...

A few things that don't merit a separate blog posting...

* Pet Adventures

I've been attempting to increase the physical activity that the girls get on a daily basis. My new multi-dog leash arrived (not the previous vendor I blogged about) and we've tested it a few times. I did get some extra hardware to add to it because I wasn't feeling secure about the way each dog line attached to the swivel. It looked too easy to accidentally undo, so...double connectors make everything better. ;) When we're not traveling the sidwalks, I try to spend time outside tossing tennis balls for them to chase or catch. Of course, with the recent high heat & humidty, we bring our ball-chasing inside and forget being outside except for necessary potty breaks!

When it is cool enough for the bugs to be out at dusk, I get such a kick out of watching Molly chase the lightening bugs. She can't seem to figure out how those blinking lights get away from her! She's also been investigating the bug activity in the carport, following them, nose pressed to the concrete, as they go on their merry way. Occasionally she tries to eat them and I end up being gifted with a munched on, slimy June bug or other thing that I quickly drop and say "ewww!"

Molly's doing much better at the whole "sitting" thing. Her idea of sitting used to be squatting and wiggling her backside. She can now, at least, actually get her backside on the floor even if she is still wiggling. Sadie's becoming more assertive in getting my attention by crawling up my prone body on the couch, pawing and pulling down the blankets (if the fan is too chilling), and then pawing at my chin while giving me the puppy-dog "I want something" look. It's hard to resist those chocolate brown eyes and I can never stay angry at her when she does that. *sigh*

* Runescape

Can you believe I have not even logged into Runescape in nearly three weeks? I seem to have lost interest as quickly as I had gained interest. I'm sure it's only temporary and once my projects are done and the winter weather keeps me inside, it'll start up again. I think...

* Moving

My parents recently moved to a new house. I have been meaning to put up a separate blog with pictures, but haven't gotten to it yet. It's forthcoming...

* Work

Work is going well but I did have an oops moment last week. It seems I sent out some letters prematurely. While I can't shoulder the entire blame, I've learned that I can't always rely on our boss to read through the letters we put before her. I've also learned that it's helpful to have ALL of the pertinent information when receiving a requested action prior to fulfilling that action. Had I known that what we were doing had not yet been approved by the appropriate departments, I would have never sent the letters! Anyhow...first oops of the new job duties. LOL Can't cry over spilled milk and all...only prevent it from happening again.
