Yes, I am still breathing...
It's been awhile since I last posted anything of real substance. I have had things to talk about but no motivation to actually talk about them. lol Some of it was family-related and best left unsaid, some of it was friend-related (also best left unsaid) and still more was work-related. I figure no one needs or wants to hear about the office politics currently running rampant in my office, so be grateful you've been spared!
However, what I did finally get around to doing was downloading from my camera all of those pictures I promised to post. :) So I guess I'll just get to it.Mom & Dad bought a new house this past summer. I had to laugh at Dad's new "favorite chair" placed on a rocky peninsula into the Des Moines River. The river has been kept fairly low as a nearby town replaces a bridge so there have been times where they can walk half-way or more across the river and not have it go above their thighs. Until it's too cold to fish, or until the river rises (unlikely), Dad leaves his chairs & poles along the banks for easy convenience.
They have quite a long length of yard behind the house where family have installed RV campers for weekend getaways. It's nearly a campground! We even have a fridge back there. lol
The view upriver. Dad jokes that the banks further up & on the other side are home to a sasquatch...
This is Peeps...well, okay, this is Peeps Sr. I ended up having to buy another one because the dogs loved it so much. I thought that each could have their own instead of fighting over this one. Alas, both of them have recently suffered multiple incidents of trauma...usually to the head and upper back...resulting is mass amounts of stuffing to be distributed throughout the house. Surgery has been attempted several times but the last trauma was too much for Peeps Jr. He lost his squeaker during the violence and will now forever be a mute. *sigh* Poor Peeps twins...
Well, I have more to post but it's time to get ready for work. Maybe later tonight I'll get the rest up.
