Climate Change, an unexpected development?
Apparently another side effect of global warming is the increase in the tropical belt. Over the past 25 years, the tropics have expanded by 300 miles north and south of the existing tropical belt.
It's almost a relief knowing that this occurs because ,as the average global temperature increases, the greatest concern was increasing desert-like conditions -- which will still occur in some locations. BUT, at least if the tropics also increase in size, humanity is guaranteed some moisture and an environment is capable of supporting more life than a desert could!
