I'll never live it down....

Everytime I need something heavy carried up or down some stairs, I get comments like "Why don't we do that? We know how you are on stairs." *sigh* So a person falls down some stairs once and they're branded for life. I'll never live it down. Of course, I did end up in the emergency room immediately afterward (compliments of my fabulous friend Becky) three hours before my graduation ceremony from college. I did end up with crutches for said ceremony and nearly wiped out on stage. I did hear lots of pity whispers from other graduates and my friend Mary was kind enough to carry my diploma case for me. Keeping all that in mind I shouldn't be surprised to have people intervene when it looks like I'm about to tackle some stairs with heavy objects. It's actually downright handy! It's probably a fortunate thing....because, in fact, I did trip going up the stairs on Saturday evening. LOL It wasn't due to clumsiness though! My slipper fell off as I was taking a step and tripped me up on the stair riser. I laid there for a few moments, cursing and laughing, checking for broken bones. Nothing broken, but I am waiting for all of the bruises to appear! My arms will look like I was caned!
