Somebody smack me...

I was taking care of bills last night, balancing my checkbook, cleaning out my purse, yadda yadda... Generally, I have a good idea of how much my bills are going to be, but I got a real shocker when I opened up cell phone bill. For the first time, I went over my peak minutes. Ouch. So, what did Gidget learn in the month of November? She needs to watch her peak hour calls a little better. Yeah.

Ironically, I wasn't charged for the calls to my fabulous friends in Phoenix. Oh no...my charges were from calls to family and friends in Iowa! Plus, there was this one call waiting charge. I didn't realize the other call was "on hold". I figured the other call had been terminated! Yikes!

By coincidense, I probably have you beat. Last week, I received a phone bill for around $1050.00 for the month! I guess the phone company had dropped my international plan for about three weeks and then mysteriously reinstated it all without my knowledge. Three weeks of international calls to the Philippines and England ran up the bill. My wife spent literally three hours talking to four different people on the phone and finally got it straightened up though we still don't know why it was dropped and then reinstated. The new bill....$52.12.
