The rudeness of people...
So I arrived home last Sunday evening after spending the weekend at my parents. The auction was last Saturday and on Sunday I played with Jill the Wonderdog's puppies, went to look at a house for rent with my sister and her boyfriend (he's ready to get his own place), and the family celebrated my sister's 18th birthday with dinner, cake & ice cream (and presents...of course). So, I stayed late and got back home at around 9:00 pm, I think. When I turned into my driveway, there were five garbage bags sitting on the pavement. How puzzling! I couldn't figure out where they came from. These were obviously not mine! So, I called my neighbors to ask if they had seen anything - they hadn't. As I was trying to end my call with the neighbor (he's very chatty), my fabulous friend Mikey called so I quickly ended my other call (thank you, thank you, thank you for calling at that exact time). After our conversation, I called the sheriff's office to report the abandoned trash and had an officer outside my door within 10 minutes. He found an envelope with an address of the rental house a few doors up the street and promptly went up to "chat" with the tenants. I had to laugh. I knew that abandoning trash on someone else's property was a crime and found out a few days later, via the local paper, that the city was pressing charges against the tenants of that building. I'm glad it was resolved so quickly because I wasn't about to pay $7 to get rid of their trash! To do so would set a precedent and every renter for miles would think they could drop their trash in my driveway!

Does that bring back the memories. Someone dumped a whole bunch of trash along our road by the farm. We loaded it all up and redeposited in the yard of the people who left it in Milton. Funny how they can be stupid enough to dump a bag full of address labels, all of them theirs!
