Becky's moving!!
Yes, oh yes...my fabulous friend Becky is moving back to Iowa. Of course, she decides to do this just when I began planning to move to Phoenix. Figures, right? But she's moving for a very good reason and I support her 100%. What's her reason you ask? She's getting married!! She and her fiance both want to be able to have a fresh start and who can blame them? It's difficult to have a fresh start when one person has a whole network of friends and routines already in place. It would make the other half a bit intimidated or feeling like the "third wheel". This way they both get a fresh start on building a life together!
I know it's difficult for her Phoenix friends to grasp, but having gone through the process of having your closest friends move 1600 miles away from you, I can tell you that it does get easier. You just have to work a little harder to maintain that communication link. She's still your friend even though she's so far away. That will never change.

I think the two of you should just do a life swap. Fabulous Becky gets your house and completes the renovations while you get Becky's abode (I don't know what it is) and everyone is happy except for me I guess if you now are going to live a 1000 miles from me. But since we live only like 30 miles apart and mostly communicate with email, what's another 970 miles? Anyway, I give you my favorite motto, "Columbus took a chance." Go for it now why it is fairly easy for you.
