The Top7 of Phoenix (and Iowa)
For the past 7 or 8 months, I've heard Becky talk about her "Top 7" friends - those friends she says she would give her life for. I was the only member of the Top 7 who did not live in Phoenix. Now that I'm in Phoenix, I've met all of the Top 7 and I have to agree that they're a pretty wonderful group of people. I'm not quite as close to them as Becky but that's because I have lived in Iowa and thus not able to participate in their lives. I did begin to email/instant message/call them in order to get to know them before I came out here, but even that didn't prepare me for seeing the closeness of this group. Someone looking from the outside would swear that there had to be romantic interest between a few of them, but that's just not so. They are just very close, like siblings. I have not seen any romantic signs between any of them and I'm pretty good at seeing things like that. I have really good intuition and I use it!
I just want to say that I feel honored to be a part of this group!

I had a group of friends like that in Minnesota and it was great. A bunch of single people all looking just to have a good time without having to worry about romantic interests. Although I am still good friends with a couple of them, the group has pretty much fallen apart. People have moved, others like me have gotten married and it just isn't the same. We still get together once a year for an annual pontooning/grilling/swimming/drinking get together but now almost half are flying in or driving many hours to arrive. It is a lot of good memories.
