In the News: Local adult shop closes...

Normally I probably wouldn't write about this, but this particular adult shop has filled a specific niche in the area. Ruby's Pearl was owned by women for women...they not only offered adult products, but also did extensive educational classes on sexually transmitted diseases, reproductive health, relationships, etc. You name it, they did it...and their mission wasn't a profit-only focus. In fact, there are only seven other adult shops with a similar mission in the nation. How incredible is that! The other adult shops in the area don't offer these types of services. They truly are for-profit-only oriented. It's a loss to a college community where STD's run rampant and students too often engage in unsafe and promiscuous activities. Farewell Ruby's Pearl...

Its a shame to see a business like this close their doors. There's so few places to go with your significant-other to buy... ya know... things... without feeling like you need to have on a trench coat, hat, and galoshes.

The loss of the education is an even greater shame.
