A Little Coldplay...
I’ve been listening to Coldplay the past few days, which a friend gave me. It’s interesting – not what I would usually listen to, but it has its own appeal that reminds me of Pink Floyd and U2. I was amazed that, for all its popularity, it’s very mellow. I can see why people find it easy to listen to while working. It’s not necessarily slow music but it has soothing tones and instrumentation that would not demand your full attention. Personally, I find it difficult to work to music because I’m constantly distracted – with the single exception of classical music. I can listen to classical for hours and rarely be distracted from what I’m trying to accomplish. I suppose that is because there are no lyrics to sing along with.
Anyhow, I don’t know if I really LIKE this band but I don’t dislike them either. It’s just not my first preference for music. And…odd, I know…but as I sit here with my headphones on, I can’t help but think of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure and how they promote peace through music (you know, that “future” vision they were shown). Weird…
Well, back to the grind. I had to listen to something because everyone else is distracting me and I needed a “filter”. lol

I'm still stuck in the 70's and 80's. I really don't care if I ever get out. I'll make an exception for the Nadas and you'll have to see tomorrow's blog to learn about them.
I've got a few Nadas albums. They're ok. Again, not one of my favorites but easy to listen to when you're working.
I think you'd like Coldplay if you're that much of a Nadas fan.
