The After-Christmas insanity...

I stopped into Wally World (Walmart) today to check for drastically reduced holiday stuff to use in my "redneck" gift for next year and discovered, to my horror, the pre-packaged Christmas gift aisle is in the process of being turned into the Valentine aisle. They were already putting out candy and valentines! Um...there are several holidays that come BEFORE Valentine's Day, such as New Year's Day and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. How about some respect here!

In the end I left, disappointed, with no holiday stuff except a discounted loufah bath set for myself (gotta love those bargains) and the new Keith Urban CD, also on sale (which I've listened to several times already in the past few hours and ALL the songs are good! Yes!).

I hit a few other places too before calling it quits in disgust. I managed to grab lights and a red bow at one place, some soda and a picture frame in another and then finally picked up a pizza and found my way home. I'm sure the city would have more available but at this point it's not worth the parking fee to drive to work one day. LOL That single day of parking would pay for two lunches eating out! I'll stick with the van. Anyhow, I've been making huge strides in conquering the paper monster invading my study and I don't want to lose the momentum by spending an evening shopping!
