HO HO HO!

The Christmas holiday is over and millions of Americans are looking toward the next holiday - New Year's Day....that day when you know you should be writing "06" on your checks but still find yourself writing "05". Of course, if you're like me you'll be writing "96", "07" or some other completely incorrect year...which I find immensely entertaining when I realize what I've done, making the classical Simpson "Doh!" exclamation and scribbling the correct date over my oops while the cashier looks on me strangely.

Last year on New Year's Even, I went to dinner with my parents and their friends and had a fantastic time! This year, a long-time friend from Phoenix will be joining us (her parents are the friends joining my parents) so we'll both be highly entertained by our humor-infectious families. Our fathers hung out as teenagers and the hilarious stories they tell about their "adventures"....well, it makes our pranks look angelic in comparison! I'm very much looking forward to the outing this weekend. :)

In other news, Sadie may be an expectant mother soon. We'll see how well she takes to the "boyfriend" we picked for her, but if all goes well, I may be knee deep in jack russell terrier puppies by spring! They'll be so cute!
