Do I smell popcorn?
"Um...no," I say, smiling angelically, as we all look at the bowl holding four bags worth of popped popcorn. A coworker remarks, "It smells like a movie! What time does the movie start?" I immediately start snickering. So I jokingly say in an announcer's voice, "...and today's cinema feature will be Office Space...where's your stapler??"
It's been an interesting day...and an increasingly busy one as short-staffed offices forward their phones to mine for coverage while their offices are empty, and other coworkers are gone to long meetings. I'm mentally exhausted! I guess that means it's time to either a) take a nap or b) go get a latte. I think I'll get the latte. ;)

There IS no hiding popcorn, you should know that by now. ;-)
I think there ought to be a law against popcorn in offices especially later in the day when the snack cravings are setting in. Yes... that and fastfood hamburgers. Where's your pitty on your fellow coworkers?
They know me well enough by now to know that I have no pity. ;)
