The "Dude" Factor...
I have this tendency to speak to other drivers while I'm driving. My one-sided conversations usually consist of critical remarks on the other person's ability to drive or not drive. Today I realized that every other driver on the road, no matter their gender, is named "Dude". Typically "Dude" comments include "Dude, turn already!" or "Dude, pick a lane!". It's only when the Dude does something really stupid, i.e. cutting someone else off on the road, that they are promoted to "Idiot" or "Moron". Of course, if it's me that's getting cut off, "Idiot" and "Moron" are generally preceded with decriptive profanity. When it's rush hour traffic, bumper to bumper, and the "Dude" just has to exit McDonalds immediately in front of me while I'm driving the full speed limit...well, they will just have to suffer my opinion. A 5 foot gap in traffic is not an invitation to pull out! It's worse when the regular academic year is in progress...at in summer traffic thins out a bit!
Anyhow, it was something that tickled my funny bone and considering that I haven't had time to blog lately, I thought I'd share!

I talk too I guess but I always dream of having a roof rack full of laser guided missles.
