War of the Worlds

Okay, so this movie kinda sucked too. There was all this action, drama and build-up and then it fizzled into nothingness. What kind of action movie has the enemy dying from mother nature, and not even orchestrated by man (as in man figures out they are vulnerable to organisms that exist in nature and thus coordinates attacks using those organisms)??

Cry Freedom is next and at least it provided Denzel Washington with his first Oscar nomination.

If I remember correctly, the book ended the same way. When you think about it, it sort of makes sense...if an advanced civilization really did invade our world, we wouldn't stand a chance...nature would be the only possible way out for us. Kinda sucks, actually.

Umm, I'm guessing you never heard the original radio broadcast or read the book? I liked the ending because it was different and still is.

Nope! It's not the kind of story I'd be interested in reading. I even hesitated before putting it on my Netflix list for the same reason, but I didn't have a real good reason for NOT watching it. Oh well!
